The passion of the church is not religious tradition or ritualistic or man-made tradition. Rather it is people whom God has brought out of the miry clay and have had their feet set on the solid ground.
Our purpose is to bring leadership, vision to our generation as well as influence our society/generation with the principles of God’s kingdom.
Eternal Glory Christian Centre is a multi-cultural church which represents a coat of many colours, making a vibrant people and a vibrant community; a church where destinies are discovered and where life becomes purposeful.
In October 2005, Reverend Sam and Fiona Lartey, after completing their graduate studies in theology and psychology, respectively, launched Eternal Glory Christian Centre as a fellowship group with just around 7 people; mainly students. The church, like every human institution, went through its own challenges but by the grace of God, travailed nevertheless, in line with what Jesus said to Peter concerning Peter’s revelation about who Jesus actually was (the anointed Christ and the Living God, the messiah) at which point Jesus replied 'and upon this revelation will I build my church and the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.' ( Matt:16 v18.)
In February 2006, by prayer and in consultation with elders, Rev Lartey moved the church from the Didsbury education campus to its current location. The work is starting to grow as rapidly as those who are hungry to hear the word of God come to be refreshed. The make-up of the church reflects with unique blend of culture and people in the city.
